Captive Care: The Apogon leptacanthus, or Longspine Cardinalfish, is a beautiful and peaceful species ideal for the experienced aquarium hobbyist. Known for its striking appearance and calm demeanor, this species makes an excellent addition to a well-maintained reef tank. Provide plenty of live rock and hiding spots for security, as they are nocturnal and shy during the day. The Orange vertical stripes on the fish make it stick out among Cardinalfish. These guys are cool!! Introduce groups simultaneously to encourage schooling behavior.
