Praziquantel Flake is the standard fluke treatment delivered through food — useful for fish still eating but showing fluke signs (flashing, mucus, faint gill flashes), or for ongoing prevention in display tanks where you do not want to dose the water column. The gentler delivery for stressed fish.
Active ingredient: praziquantel, impregnated in flake form. Fed as sole food source during treatment. Should be given as two rounds 6 days apart to break the egg-hatch cycle — same protocol as water-column prazi. Pairs cleanly with copper or chloroquine in the tank. For exact feed schedule, see the Dewormers tab on our Medication Dosing Calculator.
Treats: gill flukes, body flukes, monogenean and digenean trematodes, tapeworms.
Use in: quarantine, hospital tank, or display.
Reef safe: yes — active stays in the fish.
