TMP Sulfa Powder is a combination sulfonamide antibiotic — trimethoprim and sulfadiazine working together to extend antibacterial coverage. Useful for both gram-positive and gram-negative infections, and effective when broad-spectrum first-line antibiotics have already been tried. The sulfa+trimethoprim pairing covers strains that resist either drug alone.
