Erythromycin Pellet is the targeted gram-positive antibiotic for larger fish or bottom-dwellers — the pellet companion to the flake form. Use when broader antibiotics have not resolved fin rot or body ulcers and you suspect a gram-positive bacterial strain.
Active ingredient: erythromycin (macrolide antibiotic) impregnated in pellet form, multiple sizes. Fed as sole food source for 7-10 days. Does not affect biological filtration since it stays in the gut. Pairs with kanamycin or nitrofurazone for combined gram-positive + gram-negative coverage. For exact feed schedule, see the Antibiotics tab on our Medication Dosing Calculator.
Treats: gram-positive bacterial infections, suspected mycobacterial issues, certain fin rot strains.
Use in: quarantine, hospital tank, or display.
Reef safe: yes — antibiotic stays in the fish.
