| Treats | Bacterial infections (broad spectrum) |
| Use In | QT tank, hospital tank |
The first-line broad-spectrum antibiotic when something is clearly wrong but you cannot identify the specific bacteria. Fin rot, mouth rot, body ulcers, gill issues — Antibiotic Duo Flake combines two antibiotics to cover both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria at once, delivered through food so a still-eating fish does not need a chemical bath.
Combination antibiotic flake (sulfa + nitrofuran pairing). Fed as sole food source for 5-10 days. Does not affect biological filtration like water-column antibiotics do — the medication stays in the gut, not the tank water. For exact feed schedule, see the Antibiotics tab on our Medication Dosing Calculator.
Treats: fin rot, mouth rot, body ulcers, columnaris, secondary bacterial infections.
Use in: quarantine, hospital tank, or display — fish must be actively eating.
Reef safe: yes — antibiotic stays in gut, not water.
