| Best For | Anthias, dragonets, mandarins, pipefish, small carnivores |
Freeze Dried Arctic Copepods are pico-sized whole-body crustaceans, harvested from cold North Atlantic waters — the smallest food we stock, sized for mandarins, dragonets, dwarf seahorses, SPS coral pico-feeding, and the tiny mouths of newly settled juveniles. Cold-water sourcing means higher omega content than tropical alternatives.
Whole Calanus copepods, harvested wild from Arctic waters and immediately freeze-dried. Rehydrate a pinch in tank water for 30 seconds to a minute, then target-feed via pipette or release into flow. Naturally high in astaxanthin (color), DHA, and EPA. Suitable as a daily supplement for picky picophages or as a finishing food for filter feeders.
Best for: mandarins/dragonets, seahorses, SPS pico-feeding, juvenile reef fish, anemones.
Use in: quarantine, display, or refugium.
Reef safe: yes — ideal coral and invert food.
